With HybriScan-Food the most relevant pathogenic food spoiling microorganisms can be detected in a genus or species specific way:

Parallel detection and identification of a variety of microorganisms with specific oligonucleotide probes on a silicon biochip surface.
Two different FastScan-eChip systems can be used dependent on the application:
- Fluidic-eChip-system:
Detection of a specific microorganism or a group of microorganisms, e.g. detection of the genus Legionella or highly specifically only Legionella pneumophila
This biochip is reuseable up to 100 times!
- Multipositions-eChip-system:
For a simultaneous detection and identification of a variety of different microorganisms in only one test (multiplex analysis, e.g. process monitoring, drinking water analysis, detection of different pathogenic microbes in food samples)
